Do You Know About the Fitness Challenge? It’s Going On Right Now.

Get fit and discover South Carolina’s rich history and beauty. Take the SC7 Appalachians to the Atlantic Fitness Challenge, which is happening now!

Last July, Eddie and I walked across South Carolina. People wanted to know how we did it. We walked from the mountains to the sea with the South Carolina 7 Expedition. While expedition members stayed in cabins at parks along the way, Eddie and I stayed in hotels. As we got closer to our home, we stayed there too. But we got up every morning and met the expedition team members at the trailheads. Of course, we had to drive both of our cars. That way, we could get ourselves back to the starting point. In addition, we brought everything else we needed, especially water. The Appalachians to the Atlantic fitness challenge is going on right now.

You can do it, too! All you have to do is log in and register. From there, you can follow the team virtually. You can also find the trail near you and begin there.

“The challenge is open to anyone who wants to hike, bike, run, walk, or paddle South Carolina.”

Go to South Carolina 7—Home | Facebook to join the challenge. Then, go to the SC7 Website to see the documentary “Higher Ground.” You’ll be inspired!

Special thanks to Tom Mullikin, Global Eco Adventures, and Michelle McCollum, South Carolina National Heritage Corredor, for bringing attention to the beauty and history of the Palmetto State.

Find the Passages of The Palmetto Trail near you. Join the challenge to learn how you can enjoy it, too.
